Batuz moves to Germany. Beginning of Berlin Project planned for the Ernst Reuter Platz. West German authorities and private sectors allocate Schloss Schaumburg as a place for Batuz to execute his newest projects and becomes the first home of the Société Imaginaire.

Batuz travels throughout the Americas meeting with his peers and begins to formulate his idea for a Société Imaginaire. His trip starts with a stop in Mexico City with Octavio Paz and ends in Buenos Aires with Enrique Molina.

The show organized from the St. Augustin meeting is taken to the meeting held at the Dresdener Schloss. International participants then reunite for visit of and extended meetings in Altzella. The Kennedy Center on its 25th Anniversary honors Batuz by inviting him and the Société Imaginaire to hold their meetings at the center for the duration of one week. Slovak Portfolio is created with foreword by Michal Kovac

Opening of Inge Morath Photo Museum and Raul Lozza Gallery in Altzella. Publication of the Lozza/Glöckner catalog which focuses on the theme “Constructivism in Two Worlds”. Publication of “Inge Morath and the Société Imaginaire” explaining the deep relationship between the photographer and the history of the undertaking. First attempt at an ongoing project as an homage to her efforts, entitled entre nous. The first Lozza Portfolio is created. Project Tango and Bandoneon begins and continues through the next couple of years with cultural exchanges between Uruguay and Sachsen. Carlsfeld, Saxony is where the Bandoneon originated, brought to Rio de la Plata by German immigrants. The instrument plays an essential role in Tango.

The Sachsen-Uruguay Portfolio is created with texts from Kurt Biedenkopf and Julio Maria Sanguinetti. A publication illustrating the grounds, workshops, programs and opportunities created at Altzella by Batuz is published. Artists of all kinds from around the world are invited to participate in these workshops. The first sculpture by Ricardo Pascale called Hommage a la Correspondence is erected in Altzella. The official gallery dedicated to Alfredo Testonni, doyen of uruguayn photography, is opened with a showing of the artists works.

The Corcoran School for Arts is invited, bringing professors and students to the workshops of Altzella. Another illustrative catalog is published on Altzella and its partner center intended to be established in Melilla, Uruguay.

The Corcoran School for Arts visits again with more students and professors together with participants from Uruguay, Israel, Poland and Germany.Works then are exhibited in Washington, DC, USA, Tel Aviv, Israel, and Montevideo, Uruguay.

"Hommage a la Correspondence" is erected in Potsdam, Germany. Action no más fronteras between border towns Gualeguaychu, Argentina and Fray Bentos, Uruguay.

2002

First independent publication on the methods of the Société Imaginaire by the pharmaceutical company Schering in Argentina. Official presentation of East-German Portfolio to the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, USA together with Hilmar Kopper and Wolfgang Ischinger. Batuz brings together indigenous peoples from the north of Argentina together with British subjects from the Falkland Islands in Altzella. The birth of the ongoing project no más fronteras occurs in this year with its first implementation on the German-Polish border in the river Neisse. The second portfolio of Lozza is created. An event is held with Jorge Batlle, President of Uruguay, to commemorate its edition. “Hommage a la Correspondence” is erected in the National Sculpture Garden of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Portfolios on loan from the National Gallery of Art, most especially the latest portfolio done in collaboration with Czeslaw Milosz on the project no más fronteras, are exhibited in the Hall of the Americas of the Organization of American States together with the cooperation of Franz-Josef Reuter, Director of Washington DC office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Dieste Exhibition visits Montevideo with a guest appearance by Stanford Anderson, Head of Architecture from MIT and through the support of the Fundación Batuz Uruguay.

Project no más fronteras en la sociedad executes the action at Darwins Corner. The Fundación Batuz Uruguay collected support and designs for the extension of the Museo Municipal Lucas Roselli of Nueva Palmiras. Opening of the new museum of the Société Imaginaire in Uruguay at the old terminal of the airport in Punta del Este. Michael Morgner from Germany exhibits in the National Library in Montevideo through the support of the Fundación Batuz Uruguay. With the change of government, Batuz is forced to leave Altzella and reestablishes his headquarters in Germany in the newly acquired Villa X. The project “no más fronteras en la sociedad” is executed in Uruguay of which another edition of the portfolios has been presented at an event attended by an extended list of participants.
