Batuz: A Book On My Own

Batuz is now working on a comprehensive volume dedicated to the last 60 years of his painterly oeuvre. He calls this work "a book on my own".
He is not placing the works in a chronological order but intends with each painting added to be like one more stone reinforcing and helping to complement the whole building in our inner eye.
This work in progress has its own timing and underlies many changes. That's why we must not take it as definitive. © 2010 Batuz

Batuz: Works in Paper

Rizzoli is a book designed cover to cover by Batuz in order to show the development of his series "Works in Paper". With large documentary photos following the artists life and environment, the book begins to bring the viewer closer to the artists works. These mostly large scale works presented out in nature reveal many parallels to the artists study on Interrelation of Forms. A comprehensive idea can be perceived through the various studies on the interrelation of forms that are represented in this book. Texts included are "Greeen's Farms" by Ronald A. Kuchta, "Introduction" by Rafael Squirru, "Lines from Life to Being" by Dieter Ronte and "On the Artist" by Curt Heigl. Photographic credits go to Don Ross, Roberto Ciechanow, Rawn Fulton, Andras Mahr, Carlos Mozo Saravia, Andrew Stewart, Photo Wass, and Angelika Walker. © 1983 Batuz
